![]() ![]() And if you overwatch with a repeating ranged weapon with 2 or 3 action points remaining, the overwatch may shred your melee units before they can get close. It's possible the AI is utilising cover more effectively than you are. You're probably firing at units in good cover as well and that makes them harder to hit than units that are moving or in poor cover. ![]() ![]() Melee combat is harder to get to grips with than ranged combat and other factions generally do it better than either of those at the start of the game anyway. If you want to have more shots per turn, try Vanguard of Syndicate (more challenging but my current favourite faction) first. Those are possibly two of the most challenging factions from the base game to start as. And the Kir'ko have the Frenzied which are melee units with an area spit attack. The shotgun is a hard hitter but it's not terribly accurate. They're meant to close with the enemy and melee attack. The Assembly's Scavengers are melee units with a shotgun and they get one shot regardless of action points remaining. Ah, well there lies much of your problem. The multi attack seems to be every enemy I face but for sniper types. ![]() I don't have the time or energy to personally do it though.Originally posted by Kaliten:First I was the assembly second I was the bug dudes. I do wish there was more discussion on the campaign choices too though, or even a guide that outlines what the major choices do. I went independent, but I don't remember exactly what I did to make that happen. Age of Wonders: Planetfall is the new strategy game from Triumph Studios, creators of the critically acclaimed Age of Wonders series, bringing all the exciting tactical turn-based combat and in-depth empire building of its predecessors to space in an all-new, sci-fi setting. So resurrecting means the Kirko join Carminia, not resurrecting means they join CORE or are independent. So not all hope is lost for them restoring their culture if you choose not to resurrect. Once I decided not to I found out that's exactly what Carminia was planning, so it seems like the right choice if you care about the future of the Kirko.Īt the end of the mission the Kirko also mentions possibly resurrecting the queen later using their own methods- meaning they won't be enslaved. I played this mission about a week ago so I don't remember everything perfectly, but here's what I remember.Īfter I got the information that the queen was previously used to control the Kirko I figured it probably wasn't a good idea to resurrect her given the little bit I knew about Carminia and CORE. ![]()
